rip drawing tablet... traditional art, welcome!

Posted by rurusilly - October 16th, 2024

goodbye drawing tablet! time to go back to my roots! I don't have colored pencils rn so here are some b&w drawings i did (second is colored in ibis paint). first one is a new OC related to my vampire OC :] it's kind of like a clone

also does anyone have advice on what to do to make drawing easier with shaky hands?? my meds make my hands shaky and it makes drawing more frustrating, especially the lineart... that's all, bai bai

tal vez si esperar unos minutos hasta calmarte ayude???

gracias michi :3 seguire practicando!!!

RIP ur tablet!!! It's good that that didn't stop you from drawing tho :D

My advice for drawing with shaky hands (mostly for lineart) is to try and do more quick strokes instead of somewhat-carefully tracing over your sketch. Try more confident, swift lines. You could practise with just pencil, getting yourself familiar with the desired shapes and when you're ready, go for it in ink! You could also just go ham with rough scribbles pfft

Ofc this is not bound to work for everyone, but I figured I should still share my personal opinion. Take your time and do what's most enjoyable!

In any case, your art stays gorgeous <3

aaaa that's probably why my sketches aren't as shaky and messy as my lineart, I do them rly fast and i try to make the lines as light as possible with a normal lead pencil but the moment I start using an ink pen (idk how they're called in english ngl) it's so messy!! I'll try to do more quick strokes for the next drawing and then I'll see how I figure out how to add line width without making it even more messy like it happened here... thank you for the advice :]
